KARACHI, July 1: The District Coordination Officer, Shafiq-ur- Rehman Paracha, has ordered immediate availability of teachers and required funds for the resumption of two government schools in Zakaria Goth, Gadap Town.

The DCO, during his visit to Gadap Town on Sunday, came across an abandoned school, besides the incomplete structure of another nearby school.

He was informed that the former could not operate due to inadequate provision for teachers, while the latter could not see proper completion due to paucity of funds.

Issuing on-the-spot orders, Mr Paracha sought immediate opening of the school and assured that teachers would be duly assigned for the institution. He also announced necessary funds for completion of the incomplete school building.

He further ordered to shift the existent Gadap Town office building to a site which may be easily accessible to the people. It may be mentioned here that at present, the building is operating in Memon Goth, spread over a vast space of land, making it difficult for the people to reach it.

The DCO also visited Bin Qasim Town on Sunday morning and while taking a round of the Moro Community Centre, urged the concerned Union Council as well as the Town Committee to make proper use of the centre.

The centre, he said, could be utilized for promotion of social and cultural activities of the area people. Paracha also asked for proper upkeep and maintenance of the centre so that it may be adequately used in the larger benefit of the masses.

Shafiq-ur-Rehman Paracha also issued directives for repair of the Ibrahim Hyderi Union Council Hall.—APP
