ABBOTTABAD, June 26: Family of Omar Asghar Khan has raised a number of questions about the death of Omar Asghar Khan.

In a press release, Ali Asghar Khan, brother of Omar Asghar Khan, on behalf of the family says the circumstances in which the body of Omar Asghar Khan was found raises a number of questions which remain unanswered.

The most striking question is the fact that he was found with his hands restrained behind his back and his foot resting on a chair with wheels, which had not moved.

Additionally the night before his death, he was busy till midnight in making specific plans for the next day.

He was going to call his uncle at 8.00am. He called his family in Islamabad and noted the books he needed to buy for his son.

He had detailed discussion and even made a phone call to determine where to buy these books. He then discussed how this would fit in with his itinerary for the day.

He had also been communicating with his friends and colleagues earlier in the day confirming appointments for the next day and the following week.

Omar had a high sense of duty to his country and derived satisfaction from his efforts to help improve the welfare of the people of Pakistan.

He had always faced challenges, adversity and even threats to himself and his family with determination to do the right thing.

He had a strong vision for the future and was vigorously engaged in working towards achieving this.

The press release says that the family finds it inconceivable that he would take his own life and request that the above aspects to be considered before giving any judgments of the cause of his death.
