ISLAMABAD, June 25: A scuffle broke out between a police constable and an army man on Islamabad highway, moments before the presidential convoy started for Islamabad International Airport on Monday, police source said.

A policeman performing VVIP duty on Islamabad highway spotted a man standing on the highway with his luggage, who turned out to be Mukhtar Hussain from AK-2 Regiment.

After an exchange of hot words, a scuffle started between the policeman Nadeem Munawar and the army man, when he was asked to remove the luggage lying on the road, since there was a VVIP movement, a senior police officer said.

While confirming the incident, a police officer of Islamabad said: “Sometimes the bad behaviour of policeman lead to unpleasant situation.”

The two quarrelling persons, who sparked off security concern, were removed from the road and shifted to police station.

Later, FIR was registered against the army man under section 353 and 186 of the PPC.
