KARACHI, June 25: The City Nazim, Naimatullah Khan on Tuesday announced that the City Government would establish a City Radio Channel and launched a newspaper during the fiscal 2002-2003.

He said that the City Radio would be used for promotion of education, dispensation of knowledge, character building besides propagation of Urdu and Arabic languages.

He announced that City Council will also publish a newspaper to be called “Shahar Nama or City Gazette.”

He said that besides repair of city government’s markets, commercial plaza market would also be constructed and rented out on commercial rates.

He said “Gateways” will be constructed at Sharea Faisal opposite Airport, Super Highway and Hub River Road for entry into the city.
