KARACHI, Feb 28 Two more clubs earned walkovers when their opponents failed to show up in the Inter-club Hockey Championship-2009 on Saturday.

United Gymkhana got a walkover against PMTF Hockey Club while Cantt Combined Hockey Club were given a walkover against Pakistan Youth Hockey Club at the UBL Sports Complex.

The only match played at the venue was between Saeeda Sports and Hatim Tai Sports which Saeeda won 6-0. Centre-forward Ale Hasan, right-in Najamuddin scored two goals each while centre-half Muzzafar Hasan and right fullback Zulfiqar scored one each for the winners.

Meanwhile, Karachi Spartan Hockey Club, Telecom Gymkhana and Malir Gymkhana registered wins at the Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP).

Karachi Spartan Hockey Club beat Utrola Brothers 9-2. Centre-forward Sarfaraz Ahmed earned a hat-trick when he scored five goals and right-in Hasan (two), left-in Bilal (one) and left-out Shahzad Hasan (one) completed the tally.

Left-out Mehtab Ahmed and right-in Imran Khan scored one each for the losing outfit.

Telecom Gymkhana beat Al Sadaat Hockey Club 7-0. Centre-forward Sajid (three) and right-in Izhar (three) scored a hat-trick each and left-in Mohammad Harris scored one.

Malir Gymkhana beat Shershah Gymkhana 11-1. Centre-forward Zakir Hussain (five), right-in Zubair Ahmed (four) scored a hat-trick each while Left-in Shahryar Ahmed and left-out Jawad scored one each. Right-out Mohammad Saleem scored one for the losing side.
