DADU: Two robbers arrested

DADU, June 21: Two outlaws were arrested by the Thariri Mohabbat police on Thursday night.

Three armed men blocked the Thariri Mohabbat-Mehar link road, snatched a motorcycle from a milkman, Rashid Ali Soomro, and robbed him of his cash.

Soon Rashid Soomro informed the police about the incident. So the police went looking for them and were soon able to arrest two, Mazhar Ali Jhatial and Naban Jhatial, while the third, Khadim Phull, managed to escape.

A pistol and 12 cartridges were also recovered from their possession.

SCHEME APPROVED: The Sindh Government has approved a lift pumping scheme at RD-77 of the Johi Branch to cover the water shortage in the area.

After completion of this scheme, thousands of acres of barren land of the Talukas of Johi and Khairpur Nathan Shah will be cultivated and drinking water will be supplied to hundreds of villages.
