HYDERABAD, Jan 27 Adviser to prime minister on finance has assured the district nazim of helping him continue with the development schemes despite the paucity of funds.

Adviser Shaukat Tarin gave this understanding to the Hyderabad District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil during a meeting in Islamabad, recently. Those present included MQM MNAs, Tayyab Hussain and Salahuddin, DCO Aftab Ahmed Khatri and project Director HDP, Syed Faraz Ali Shah, stated a press release issued by the Hyderabad Nazim Secretariat.

It further quoted Tarin of expressing his anguish over lack of attention, Hyderabad district faced in development. Adviser assured of cooperation and told Nazim that the federal government would release its share of Hyderabad Development Package for completion of development schemes on schedule. Lauding cooperation between PPP and MQM, he said that this would help in taking the country towards progress and prosperity.

Mr Jamil briefing Shaukat Tarin on development programmes said that only 15 per cent federal government`s share in the HDP was received during the whole year which delayed the completion of projects.
