HYDERABAD, Jan 13 The Sindh National Front has condemned registration of a second case against its activist Anwar Gujjar under Section 13-D of the Arms Ordinance for possessing a pistol.

Speaking at a press conference at the press club here on Tuesday, SNF General Secretary Ayoub Shar said that Gujjar was arrested on charges of attacking the office of a newspaper and now a second case under the Arms Ordinance had been registered against him.

He alleged that after the release of SNF chief Mumtaz Ali Bhutto on bail, the judiciary was under tremendous pressure.

The SNF leader claimed that the police had tortured Gujjar to extract a confession from him that the arms during the attack on the newspaper were supplied by Mumtaz Bhutto.

He claimed that the SNF workers had gone to lodge a protest with the newspaper management in a peaceful manner and none of them was armed. They SNF men would not abandon their peaceful protest for the arrest of the murderers of Benazir Bhutto, Shar said. He said the SNF chairman would undertake an exhaustive tour of Sindh and he would reach Sukkur on Jan 15 where he would be addressing a public meeting on Arain road.

He said that reception camps had already been established in Sukkur and security arrangements had been made by the party workers.
