MUZAFFARABAD, Oct 31: The new corps commander of Rawalpindi Lt-Gen Arif Hassan held a meeting with the AJK president Sardar Mohammad Anwar Khan here at the Aiwan-i-Sadar on Wednesday.

According to sources, the president and the corps commander exchanged views on a host of issues including the development of Azad Kashmir and the situation arising out of unprovoked Indian shelling from across the Line of Control.

The president regretted that India was escalating tension along the LoC by resorting to shelling of the civilian population of Azad Kashmir without any provocation. The president also hosted a luncheon in the honour of the corps commander.

General Officer Commanding Murree Maj-Gen Wasim Ahmed Ashraf, AJK legislative assembly speaker Sardar Siab Khalid, station commander Muzaffarabad Brig Fazal Nawaz and some AJK ministers and high ranking civil and military officials were also present.
