Woman killed on suspicion

SHEIKHUPURA, May 2: A woman was shot dead on Thursday by her brother on suspicion at Tibbi Hamboh village.

A youth of the same locality had allegedly developed relations with ‘S’. On Thursday before killing his sister, Babur Hussain exchanged harsh words with her.

Bhekhi police are looking into the matter.

Teenager killed: A teenager was killed while three others sustained serious injuries in road accidents here on Thursday.

A speeding bus knocked down and injured Nazir and his father Muhammad Ali near Murid Kalan on the Sharaqpur Road. Nazir died on the way to a local hospital.

The second accident took place on the Faisalabad Road near Kharianwala, some eight kilometre from here.

Two persons — Ahmad Shah and Mohsin Ali — received serious injuries when the speeding car (LHE-7512) they were travelling in went out of control and fell into a roadside ditch. They were shifted to a local hospital.

Police are going into the matter.
