KARACHI, April 20: Bandits shot a young woman to death in her North Karachi home on Saturday.

Tufail, a tailor and resident of a shanty town, Bilal Colony, in Khwaja Ajmer Nagri police limits, told the police that three bandits entered his house early in the morning. They collected cash and valuables and remained in his house for more than an hour.

When the bandits attempted to outrage the modesty of his wife, Razia, aged 20, she put up resistance to them, on which they shot her and escaped.

He told the police that Razia, mother of an infant, died on the spot. Later, the body was sent to a hospital for autopsy.

In a shanty town, Mehran Colony, in Khokhrapar police limits, a mother of three was stabbed to death, the police said.

Her husband, Sirajuddin, informed the police that he had two wives living with him in the same house. Unidentified men barged into the house, stabbed Hajra Bibi, aged 35, to death and escaped. At the time of the killing the woman was alone in the house, Siraj told the police.

The body was sent to a hospital for autopsy.

The police suspected that Sirajuddin killed his wife over some domestic quarrel. The police also interrogated the second wife of Sirajuddin, who works as a labourer. Investigations were under way, the police said.

FOUND MURDERED: A man was found murdered in the bushes in Korangi Industrial Area on Saturday.

The police said that they found the body of a man, who was in his mid- thirties, in the bushes in Gabol Town, and sent it to a hospital. The police believed the man had been kidnapped, tortured to death and the body was dumped at an isolated place.

The body had been kept in the Edhi’s morgue for identification, the police said.
