KARACHI, Dec 20: In view of the recent decrease in the price of diesel the Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) representing ten associations of various transporters has proposed reduction in the bus fare from Rs4 to Rs3, for minibus from Rs5 to Rs4 and for coaches from Rs10 to Rs8.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, president KTI, Syed Irshad Hussain Shah Bukhari, called for a meeting of representatives of various associations on Friday, 21st December, at 10am.

He said that on 1st December in a meeting with the Sindh minister for transport it was decided to reduce fares for bus/minibus by 0.50 per stage and for coaches by Rs1 per stage.

However, due to further reduction in the price of diesel on 15th December the KTI had proposed the above fares. — PPI
