KARACHI, Oct 14: Four people were killed, including a woman and her daughter, in different incidents here at various localities on Saturday.

The bodies of two women were found from their house in a shantytown in New Karachi. The landlord of the house informed the police that Inayat Bibi, 55, and her daughter Shabana, 32, native of Rahimyar Khan, were brutally killed with a sharp-edged weapon.

Police sources said that Shabana was married to Ghulam Mustafa and they had three children. Ghulam Mustafa and two children were missing while a child was found, the police said.

A motorcyclist was shot dead by unidentified men in New Karachi Industrial Area.

Police said that Zahid Shafi, 23, resident of Sector 11-F, New Karachi, was intercepted by some unidentified gunmen in Sector 12. They shot him dead and fled. The body was later shifted to a hospital for autopsy.

In Lyari, a man was killed for not divorcing his wife.

Police sources said that Shaukat Ibrahim, 32, and his wife Nek Zahida lived in Allama Iqbal Town. Zahida allegedly developed relations with Mohammad Saeed, who forced Shaukat to divorce his wife. On Shaukat’s refusal, Saeed decided to kill him.

Shaukat left his home on Friday night and did not return. His mother Tasleema suspected Saeed behind the murder.
