KARACHI, April 26: The Islami Jamiat Talaba on Tuesday demanded arrest of killers of its activist Farhan Asif and warned that if the killers were not arrested, there would be no surety of peace at educational institutions. Addressing a news conference at his office, IJT Nazim Tahir Akbar charged that female teachers of Liaquat Govt Girls College were recently subjected to violence by the APMSO rogue elements. He also alleged that the APMSO activists fired on Govt Commerce College’s principal Muhammad Aslam Khan and tortured male students of Adamjee Science College.

“A few days back, two IJT workers were abducted from Govt Jinnah Science College by Muttahida terrorists, who subjected them to inhuman torture and one of them, Farhan Asif later died at a local hospital,” he said adding that despite repeated attempts, police were not registering cases against the accused.

He demanded registration of cases against Faraz, Abdullah, Imran, Azmat and SHO North Nazimabad.—PPI
