KARACHI, March 5: Four people including a young woman died in separate road accidents on Saturday. An elderly man died when he was hit by a bus near Saddar Dawakhana in Preedy police limits.

Police said that Mohammad Siddique, 63, was crossing the road when he was hit by a bus (JA-1210). His body was sent to a hospital for autopsy. Police claimed to have seized the bus. However, the errant driver escaped.

In Gulbahar, a young woman was knocked down in a hit-and-run accident. Police shifted her body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem. Following the examination, her body was shifted to Edhi morgue for identification purpose.

In Korangi, a cyclist was hit by a bus near Chinniot Hospital Police said that Bashir Ali, 52, was on bicycle when he was hit by a bus of 17-H route (JA-2035) near Chinniot Hospital in Zaman Town. He was taken to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Police claimed arrest of the bus driver Khalid Hussain.

In Shah Latif Town police limits, an unidentified man was killed in a hit-and-run accident near Quaidabad traffic signal. Police said that the body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy. The body was later kept at Edhi morgue for identification purpose.
