PCB committee meets today

LAHORE, Dec 25: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) domestic cricket committee will hold a meeting on Sunday to get feedback about playing facilities during the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy-2004-05 which ends with the final at Faisalabad from Dec 28 to Jan 1.

The chairman of the committee, Shafiq Ahmad, told Dawn on Saturday that the captains, coaches and managers of five regions of the PCB, out of total nine, would convey the committee their views on the condition of stadiums and ground facilities.

The five regions are Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Faisalabad. He said that a similar meeting was being held at Karachi on Monday where the remaining four regions - Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta and Multan-would attend.

He said that various decisions would be taken on the basis of the experiences of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy for holding the matches of the remaining tournaments of the season.

PCB chairman Shaharyar M Khan will attend both the meetings.
