KARACHI, Nov 9: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has said that the government is expanding the working of provincial Ombudsman and nine regional Ombudsman offices are being set up in the province.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the regional office of the Sindh Ombudsman in Federal B. Area here on Monday. The governor said another regional office will soon be set up in Malir.

In interior of Sindh, the Ombudsman's regional offices would be set up in Nawabshah, Dadu and Badin. Whereas regional offices at Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad are already working, he added.

The governor asked the provincial Ombudsman to take suo moto actions on complaints against various government departments.

He appreciated the working of Ombudsman Yousuf Jamal and said his appointment has been made purely on merit basis. Yousuf Jamal is a senior and experienced bureaucrat.

Speaking on the occasion, the Sindh Ombudsman said his institution is working on establishment of e-justice so that people can send their complaints quickly.-APP
