COMPLAINT: Residents of Shahdadpur taluka have criticized the escalating prices of daily use items.

Mohammad Aslam, Juman Malano, Khaliq Brohi and Yaqoob said that meat, sugar, flour and fruit prices had been increased by shopkeepers.

They said they had informed the DCO, DDO and Mukhtiarkar to check the overcharging but they had not taken any action against profiteers.

They said that the butchers were selling meat of sick animals.

They said that vanaspati oil was being sold at Rs60 per kg instead of Rs54, sugar Rs21 per kg, flour Rs15 per kg and banana Rs20 per dozen.

They appealed to the district administration to bring down the prices of daily use items.
