KARACHI, Oct 31: Arrangements in connection with the observance of Yaum-i-Ali were reviewed at a meeting held under the chairmanship of DCO Mir Hussain Ali.

The meeting was attended by ulema, procession organizers, TMOs, city government officials, police and senior officials of other departments concerned.

It was decided that provision of all facilities along the route of procession would be ensured and steps would be taken for uninterrupted supply of electricity on the route as well as the places of majalis.

The DCO directed the officials concerned to remain in contact with the KESC officials. He also asked the city government and town officials to have close liaison with the organizers for better cleanliness arrangements.

He also directed that the damaged portions of roads on the route of procession should be repaired and depressions filled. Similarly, he added, leaking sewerage and water supply lines should also be repaired. - APP
