ISLAMABAD, Aug 7: Traders and district administration on Saturday reviewed arrangements to decorate the markets of the capital in connection with the independence day.

In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Tariq Pirzada.

The traders' representatives gave proposals for the arrangements, and said markets would be decorated with lights, banners and posters.

Mr Pirzada said the district administration and a team of traders would present prizes to well-decorated markets.

He said measure would be taken to streamline traffic and maintain security on the occasion.

Those who attended the meeting included Jinnah Super market general-secretary Qazi Ilyas, Aabpara market president Zubair Khan, Super Market president Tahir Aziz Malik, President of F-10 market Zahor Malik, and officials of the district administration.
