HYDERABAD, July 24: The executive engineer of the Naseer division on Friday announced the water rotation programme of different waterways due to a shortage of water in the Indus river.

According to this programme, Balghai distributary, Gharib distributary, Chang minor, Pir Shakhi-I minor, Chhachh minor, Jarkas distributary, Gharo minor and Seri distributary, Mari minor, Ghothano-II distributary, Kunnar-II distributary, Ghothano-I distributary, Shah Latif minor, Tajpur minor, Palejani minor, Shahpur minor of the Rohri main canal system while Zanr minor, Khesano-II minor and Missan Khori minor of Sarfaraz branch system will remain closed upto July 31.

He said that in case the water situation improved, the water supply in these water channels would be restored.

LUMHS: The additional controller of examinations, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, has announced the schedule of MCQ theory programme of first professional MBBS (part-II) bi-annual examination 2004 to be held from Aug 9 at the LUMHS, Jamshoro, Chandka Medical College, Larkana, and People's Medical College, Nawabshah.
