KARACHI, July 22: Sindh Assembly Speaker Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah took oath as acting governor of the province on Thursday. At a simple ceremony in the Governor's House, the chief justice of the Sindh High Court, Saiyed Saeed Ashhad, administered the oath.

The ceremony was attended among others by the provincial ministers, advisers to chief minister and senior officials.

Earlier, Sindh Chief Secretary Mohammad Aslam Sanjrani read out the commission of appointment.

Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad Khan has gone to Saudi Arabia accompanying Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who is undertaking a four-day official visit to Saudi Arabia from Thursday. - APP
