SUKKUR, July 17: Sukkur range police DIG Mohammad Ramazan Channa has awarded punishment to 10 police officers and officials on charges of corruption, public complaints and abuse of official power, and has issued show cause notices to them.

An official press release issued here on Friday said that sub-inspector Sultan Ali Mangi of Larkana district had been ordered for forfeiture of his approved service of one year, sub- inspector Basharat Ali Malah of Nawabshah district ordered forfeiture of his approved service of one year and stoppage of increment for one year, while SHO/sub-inspector Shah Nawaz Markhiani of Gahija, Shikarpur district, suspended and closed to the DIG (operations).

ASI (investigation) Mohammad Aslam of Shikarpur district had been suspended and closed to the Police Lines DIG (operations), ASI Nisar Noon of the same district ordered forfeiture of his approved service of two years and increment for one year, ASI Muneer Khoso of Sukkur district suspended and issued show cause notice and also closed to the DIG (operations), it said.

Police constable Abdul Hafeez Memon of Sukkur district had been suspended and issued show cause notice and also closed to the DIG (operations), police constable Ali Sher Bullo of the same district ordered for transfer to Nawabshah, while police constables Badan Jakhrani and Balakh Sher of Jacobabad district suspended and closed to the DIG (operations), it concluded.
