KASUR: Three perish in accident

KASUR, June 19: Three people, including two sisters died while ten passengers sustained injuries when a speeding wagon overturned here on Saturday at Bahadarpura Khuddian village.

Near Bahadarpura, driver Intizar Shah lost control over the Kasur-bound vehicle (LRJ-4191) as a result it rammed into a tree and overturned.

Salma Bibi (17), Sonia (14) and Waris Ali (5) died on the spot. The injured, identified as Jamila Bibi, Haji Arshad, Noor Mohammad, Abdul Rehman, Zulfiqar, Amjad Ali, Sardaran Bibi, Mohammad Hanif, Shakil, and Khursheed Ahmad, were rushed to the Kasur DHQ Hospital.

Sadar police have registered a case against the absconding wagon driver.

ENMITY: Seven men shot dead a youth over an old enmity here on Saturday at Haveli Padanianwali, Kasur.

Police said Junaid Qadir (15) along with his father Abdul Qadir was present at their outhouse, when Riaz Ahmad and his six accomplices came and opened fire on them. As a result, Junaid died on the spot, while Abdul Qadir sustained injuries and was rushed to the DHQ hospital.
