KARACHI, March 12: The Board of Intermediate Education on Friday announced the results of HSC-II (Class XII) Supplementary Examinations- 2003, taken by the candidates of Science General and Science Pre-Engineering groups.

According to the statistics of Science (Pre-Engineering) result, a total of 6,453 candidates registered themselves with the BIEK examination department, of which 6,172 appeared and around 2,430 were declared successful. The pass percentage remained 39.37 per cent.

No male or female candidate could secure A-1 grade in the examination, while three of the candidates passed the examination in A grade, 87 candidates passed it in B grade, 671 in C grade, 1,544 in D grade and 122 candidates secured E grade.

BIEK also withheld results of some 16 candidates for want of correct information or use of unfair means.

According to statistics of Science (General) Group results, some 1,334 candidates registered themselves with the BIEK, of which 1,286 appeared and only 387 were declared successful with 30.09 as pass percentage.

No candidates could pass the examination in A-1 or A grades, while only 23 cleared it in B grade, 138 in C grade, 208 in D grade and 18 passed it in E grade.

BIEK also withheld results of two candidates of Science General Group for want of correct information and use of unfair means during the examination.

COMMERCE RESULTS: The BIEK has announced the result of HSC-II (Class XII) Supplementary Examinations 2003, taken by candidates of Commerce Group.

According to the result statistics, some 6,055 candidates registered themselves with BIEK, of which 5,779 appeared and only 3,154 were declared passed with 54.58 as pass percentage.

No male or female candidate was able to pass the exam in A-1 or A grades, while 10 of them passed it in B grade, 162 in C grade, 2,137 in D grade, 744 in E grade, while 1 candidate was declared simply passed.

Results of over 41 candidates were withheld by the BIEK for want of correct information and use of unfair means.

MARK SHEETS: Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has notified that marks sheets of Humanities (Regular) Group for the HSC supplementary examinations-2003 are ready for issuance to colleges concerned, as well as the marks sheets of Humanities (Private) Group have already been dispatched to their residential addresses.

The board has asked the principals concerned to send their representatives along with an authority letter to collect the marks sheets. Meanwhile, the board will announce the schedule for submission of examination forms for failure students of supplementary examinations 2003 on March 18.-PPI
