MULTAN, Feb 28: Four passengers were killed and 13 injured when a Multan-bound wagon rammed into a tree near Makhdoom Rashid, about 20 kilometres from here, on Saturday morning.

Police said the accident took place at Pul Chattha when the wagon (MNW-9923), coming from Vehari, went out of driver's control while trying to save a motorcyclist. Four passengers died on the spot. They have been identified as Muhammad Ashfaq and Muhammad Akmal of Tibba Sultanpur, Muhammad Azhar of Dunyapur and an unidentified man.

The injured passengers, who have been admitted to the Nishtar Hospital are, Ghulam Yasin of Dunyapur, Khadim Husain of Mailsi, Muhammad Ramzan of Pir Mahal, Abdul Ghaffar, Muhammad Jamil and Muhammad Irshad of Garha Morr, Bashir Ahmad, Nathay Khan and Abdul Rashid of Jahanian, Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Siddiq of Tibba Sultanpur, Fateh Khan and Arshad Nadeem.-APP
