GILGIT, Feb 14: Two armymen were killed and three were injured in a road accident in Astore Valley, Diamer District, on Saturday, police sources said.

The sources said that a military jeep was on its way from Astore to Tarishingh valley near base camp of Nanga Parbat where it fell into a ravine at Chorit village, some 140km from here. As a result two members of Northern Light Infantry (NLI) died on the spot and causing injuries to three other.

The names of the dead could not be known. The injured persons were identified as Subedar Mohammed Azam, sepoy Pervaiz and Zulfikhar.
