LAHORE: PA privileges body meets

LAHORE, Feb 14: The privileges committee of the Punjab Assembly on Saturday took up the motion of MPA Zahoor Sajid Janjua against an officer of the works and communication department.

EDO Bashir Ahmad along with the additional secretary of the department appeared before the committee and the former recorded his statement on Saturday. The meeting was presided over by Nazar Farid Khokhar.

Mr Janjua had alleged in his privilege motion that the EDO had misbehaved with him when he visited his office for getting Sargana Road in Jhang district widened.

The committee decided to summon some more officials of the department in the next meeting.

The committee would take up the on Monday (Feb 16) opposition leader Qasim Zia and 25 other MPAs' privilege motion against police.
