FAISALABAD, Feb 5: The salesman of a shop died in mysterious circumstances here on Thursday. Tanvir Ahmad had been employed by Sheikh Ashfaq of Warispura. He was taken to the DHQ Hospital where he died some hours later.

Doctors on duty said he was poisoned.

Ashfaq claimed that Tanvir had committed suicide due to some domestic problems. However, Tanvir's family alleged that Ashfaq gave him poison.

Police have sent the body for autopsy and registered a murder case against Ashfaq.

SHOT DEAD: An army official was gunned down by his brother over some domestic dispute in Islamnagar here on Wednesday night.

Abdul Razzaq had an altercation with his brother Altaf over some domestic issue. Altaf opened fire on Razzaq and killed him on the spot.

Civil Lines police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him.

FIRE: Plastic bags worth Rs300,000 and Rs20,000 in cash were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in the shop of Iftikhar in Samundri on Wednesday night. Fire brigade extinguished the fire after hectic efforts. The cause of fire could not be ascertained.
