KARACHI: Three die in road accidents

KARACHI, Jan 17: Three people died in different road accidents on Saturday.Two people died and five others were injured in an accident between two cars in the Defence Housing Authority.

Police said the accident took place at the turning of Saba Avenue in Phase-V when two speeding cars collided with each other. As a result, Danial, 18 and Qasim Abdul Khaliq, 20, were killed.

Five occupants of the two cars were injured and were identified as Aslam, Sher Ali, Shahab, and Yusuf.

All the injured were shifted to a hospital. The bodies were handed to their respective families after postmortem examinations.

In a collision between a taxi and a minibus, the taxi driver was killed in Bahadurabad.

Police said the body of the taxi driver was sent to a hospital for autopsy where his identity could not be established immediately. The minibus driver escaped.
