SAHIWAL, April 23: Police on Saturday arrested seven PPP leaders out of the 24 ordered by the Punjab government for detention. The arrested have been consigned to the central jail on two-month detention. They were identified as Dr Naseer Ahmed, Tahir Abbas Sindhu, Ikhtiar Hussain, Kashif Hamid, Zahid Iqbal, Ikhlaq Chauhan and Asad Masood.

THREE KILLED: Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed and six others sustained injuries in a bus-wagon collision on Sahiwal-Arifwala Road here on Saturday near Chak 114/9-L.

Reports said an Arifwala-bound passenger wagon (LHN-7514) collided with a bus (LXX-6211) near Chak 114/9-L. As a result Munir Ahmed and an unidentified woman and her daughter were killed and six others suffered injuries.
