KARACHI, April 21: The City Nazim, Niamatullah Khan, on Thursday stressed the need for an honest and dedicated leadership for the country, saying success of the newly introduced local government system in Karachi was a result of such a leadership.

He said this on the inauguration of renovation and installation of a fountain project at Lal Masjid, Nazimabad Roundabout.

Mr Niamat observed that honest people had proved their capabilities and come up to the expectation of citizens wherever delegated leadership.

He said construction of roads, development of parks, betterment of education and better performance in various fields in the metropolis in such a short span of time would have been impossible without an honest leadership.

The nazim said dedicated and able women had also been given a chance to prove their leadership despite being inexperienced they had performed their duties very well.—PPI
