KARACHI, April 11: The General Manager PTCL STR-II, Muzaffar Ali, has said that the company is providing cellphones to linemen to ensure provision of uninterrupted facilities to customers. He was speaking on the occasion of handing over cellphones and toolkits to 100 linemen of STR-II. The general manager said that the company was aware of the problems of linemen and many more steps would be taken in this direction including the provision of motorcycles to them.

He exhorted the officials and staff to take steps for redressing the customer’s complaints.

Mr Ali said the management on its part was continuing its efforts to solve their problems.

He pointed out that the objective of providing mobile telephones to linemen was to remain in a two-way contact with them so that even after office hours, telephone related problems of customers were removed.

Speaking to linemen Mr Ali told them that they were the backbone of the PTCL and the more they would work hard, sooner the complaints would be redressed.—APP
