KARACHI, April 8: The Managing Director of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Brig Iftekhar Hyder, has taken strict notice of the leakage in the 66-inch dia pipeline emanating from Pipri Filter Plant and issued directives for its immediate repair.

He was talking to engineers after inspecting the affected pipeline here on Friday. The Deputy Managing Director (Technical) Israr Zaidi, Chief Engineer Asoodo Mal, Superintending Engineer (WTM) M. Anwar Saeed and other officials were also present there.

Brig Iftekhar directed the officials concerned that boundary stones should be fixed to protect land from encroachments on both sides of the pipeline. He said that steps should be taken to plug all the leakages.—APP
