KARACHI, March 20: A political activist was shot dead by unknown persons in Korangi early on Sunday morning. Police said that Ahsan Aziz, 40, was feeding birds at a ground in Korangi No 5 after offering Fajr prayers when unknown persons came there in a car and opened fire at him. Ahsan Aziz suffered seven bullets and died on the spot. His body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem examination. Police said that the victim was a worker of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) and former sector in charge of Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi). He was a resident of Sector 5-1/2 and used to feed the birds after offering morning prayers, they added.

BODIES RECOVERED: The decomposed body of a middle-aged man was recovered from his house in Keamari on Sunday.

Police said that decomposed body of Mohammad Bakht, 55, was found from his house in Gulshan-i-Sikandar Block-4. According to police, the victim used to live alone in the house. His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy examination.

Police suspected some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the killing as no valuables were seen missing from the house.

In Orangi Towm, the body of a young man was recovered on Sunday.

Police said that Zeeshan, 16, used to work in a factory. His body was recovered from a nullah in Orangi. Police shifted his body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for postmortem examination.

Quoting the statement of his relatives, police said that the boy was suffering from epilepsy.

SUICIDE: A young man committed suicide in Mehmoodabad on Sunday. Police said that Qambar Ali, 26, ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his house located in Azam Basti, Mehmoodabad.

Qambar was father of two children and his family was living in Khairpur. The victim was an electrician and used to live with his friends in a rented house in Azam Basti.
