KARACHI, Feb 24: The visiting bonsai expert from Japan, Susumu Nakamura delivered a lecture at the National Museum of Pakistan, DHA Zamzama Park here on Thursday.

The lecture was organized in collaboration with the Japan Cultural Centre of the Consulate general of Japan in Karachi. Nakamura explained various styles of the bonsai and explained as to how this kind of gardening should be treated.

Later, he delivered a lecture and gave a demonstration at the flower show at McDonald's Sea view Park. A lecture/demonstration would also be organized on Friday at the DHA Zamzama Park which would be followed by a workshop at the same venue.

Nakamura is an internationally known bonsai master with 35 years of experience in bonsai and has served at various places since 1969. After the completion of his tour of Karachi, he will fly to Bangladesh for bonsai lecture/ demonstration and workshop before returning to Japan. -APP
