KARACHI, Feb 24: The ongoing gang-war in Lyari claimed yet another life on Thursday morning when a young man was shot at and killed by his rivals. His body was found in the limits of Kalakot police station.

Hospital sources said around 10 to 12 women brought a seriously wounded man in an unconscious state, and identified him as Fahim. When doctors pronounced him dead, they took away his body, without any autopsy, hospital sources said.

However, TPO Lyari Malick Mazhar identified the victim as Abdul Qadir Dad, 24. Qadir, he said, was a member of the Arshad Pappu gang and was a close associate of Mullah Sultan. He was shot at 5am, but the exact place of the incident is yet unknown, he said.

Police believe that Shahzad Charli and Shahzad Tunda, both associates of Rehman Dakait, are behind the killing. In another incident on Wednesday night, a passer-by lost his life when two political groups traded fire over hoisting of party flags in the limits of Kalri police station.
