CHAKWAL, Feb 15: Nearly 150 winners of the Punjab Development Fund (PDF) Crorepati scheme are anxious about receiving payments against their claims filed with the Bank of the Punjab over two months ago.

It has been learnt that thousands of people in Chakwal city had purchased coupons worth Rs25 each to participate in the crorepati scheme launched by the Punjab government. The scheme's second draw was held on November 27, 2004.

About 150 people who won different prizes had filed their claims with the Bank of the Punjab in November and December last year. One of the people had won Rs1 million under the scheme.

The winners were hoping to receive the prize money within a fortnight after the draw. But, so far, there had been no progress in this regard, while officials at the bank's branch in the city were saying that they could not do anything unless orders were received from the head office.
