KARACHI, Feb 11: The adviser to the chief minister on katchi abadies and development, Waseem Akhtar, on Friday asked local bodies to provide the public and the azadaraan with all necessary facilities during Muharram.

Directing the DCOs, heads of civic departments, TMOs and other concerned officials, the adviser said that cleanliness and construction of roads, keeping vigilance on the congregation routes, supply of waster, disposal of sewerage and dumping of garbage should be taken care of in the month of Muharram.

The health department should also make sure that it arranges full medical facilities for dealing with any exigency, the adviser maintained. -PPI
