WANA, Jan 3: The signing of a peace agreement between the government and a wanted militant, Baitullah Mehsud, will take place in Sera Rogha, South Waziristan, on Feb 7, an official said on Thursday.

A delegation of tribal negotiators called on Political Agent Asmatullah Khan Gandapur on Thursday after holding talks with the militant. Mr Mehsud, who was accused of protecting foreign militants, endorsed the draft of the six-point agreement on Wednesday, sources said.

"We will ink the agreement in Sera Rogha on Feb 7," Mr Gandapur told Dawn. The tribal negotiators, led by a retired army officer, Qayyum Sher, met Mr Mehsud in Eidak, Laddah sub-division.
