KARACHI: Three die in road accidents

KARACHI, Oct 28: A young man committed suicide in his house in Gulbahar on Sunday.

The police said that Adil, aged 22, committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house in Hasan Colony, Gulbahar.

The police said that Adil had left a note addressed to his father. The young man lived, with a group of bachelors, in a rented house in Hasan Colony in Nazimabad No 2. He was alone in the house when he committed suicide.

ROAD ACCIDENTS: Reckless driving claimed three lives in the city on Sunday.

A rangers official, Tariq, died in a road accident near Gujjar Nullah in Nazimabad in the night. Hospital sources said that Tariq, who was riding on motorcycle, died when he was hit by a truck near Gujjar Nullah.

The police said that the truck driver sped away after the accident.

A young man died in a road accident in Baldia Town. Adam Khan, aged 25, the conductor of a minibus (JE-1665) of route X-10, fell from the minibus because of over-speeding. The police said that two minibuses were trying to take over each other on the Hub river road when the accident occurred.

Adam Khan was rushed to a nearby private hospital from where he was referred to Civil Hospital. Sources at Civil Hospital said that the man died before he was brought to the hospital.

A man died in a road accident in Korangi. Hospital sources said that an unidentified injured man, who was in his 50s, was brought from Korangi who was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
