PESHAWAR, May 28: The CID police arrested a man on the charge of heroin smuggling.

Sources said that AIG of CID Abdul Majeed Khan received an information that a gang of heroin smugglers would try to smuggle out heroin from the country through Peshawar Airport. A CID team was deployed at the airport which intercepted Zarman Shah, resident of Bara Khyber Agency, while he was trying to board a plane.

During interrogation, Zarman Shah disclosed that heroin-filled capsules were hidden in his abdomen.

Zarman Shah was sent to Khyber Hospital where 80 capsules carrying 450 grams of heroin were recovered from his abdomen.

The CID police have registered a case and started investigations in this regard. It is claimed that the accused was trying to leave for Abu Dhabi on a fake passport with the help of some travel agents.

KILLED: One person was killed in an accident, a body found in a graveyard and a young Afghan girl stabbed by her father, police said here on Monday.

Sahibzada, a resident of Charsadda, was hit by a passenger van (NWFP-K 7102) on Jamrood Road on Sunday, killing him on the spot. The University Town police have arrested the van driver, Jan Mohammad, a resident of Shah Dand.

A body, apparently of an Afghan, was found in the graveyard of village Shahpur, in the jurisdiction of Chamkani police, here on Sunday.
