KARACHI, Jan 15: Community policing will be introduced in every town of the city as it has produced excellent results in the maintenance of law and order.

This was stated by the Inspector General of Sindh Police Syed Kamal Shah while speaking at the presentation of three mobile vans to the Saddar Town police station by the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here on Saturday.

CCPO Tariq Jamil and DIG Traffic Mohammad Yameen Khan and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion. President of the KCCI Khalid Firoz presented the vans to the IG for the purpose of patrolling in Cloth Market, Judia Bazar and other market areas.

"The experience of community policing under nine centres of "Madadgar 15" is excellent in controlling crime in the respective areas and this network would be expanded to other towns," the IG said. - APP
