MARDAN: Bar polls on 15th

MARDAN, Jan 7: The District Bar Association of Mardan will elect its office-bearers for the year 2005 on January 15. Senior advocate and former Awami National Party (ANP) leader, Syed Shahzad Gul Bachaa, would be the Election Commissioner (EC).

Jan 11 has been set for nomination papers, Jan 12 for scrutiny, Jan 13 for withdrawal and Jan 14 for clearance of dues. The polling on Jan 15 will be held from 9am to 2pm.

EC has also chalked out a code of conduct for the election under which door-to-door campaign has been banned, no invitation party would be held for members and no defaulters would be allowed to cast votes.
