HYDERABAD, Dec 23: Sindh Home Minister Abdul Rauf Siddiqui on Thursday suspended the City police station SHO, a sub-inspector and another policeman during a surprise visit to the police station.

He found that duty officer SI Umed Ali Unnar was sleeping and SHO Ahmad Qureshi was not present at the police station. The SHO, SI and another policeman, Asif Hassan, were suspended.

SI Hassan Ali Abdi has taken over as the SHO of the police station. A police source said there was no complainant at the police station to lodge a case. The minister also visited Hussainabad, Cantonment and Baldia police stations.

HUDOOD CASES: Two separate cases were registered at Qasimabad and Pinyari police stations under sections of 11/16 of the Zina Hudood Ordinance. Dr Sirajuddin lodged a case with the Qasimabad police, accusing former servants of his house, Abdul Wahab Almani, Arshad Ali Guddo, driver, Shamshad, Ali Qureshi and Amjad Qureshi, of taking away his daughter, Sadia, 17, a student of first year.

Shaukat Ali lodged a case with the Pinyari police against his son-in-law, Shahid Qazi, for luring away his daughter, Sania, by telling her that her sister, Samina, wife of the accused, was ill. The complainant said when he visited Samina, Sania was not there. He said Samina told him that her husband had been making advances on Sania.
