SIALKOT, Dec 16: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has given vent to its concern over an alarming rise in heinous crimes and the poor law and order situation in the Sialkot district.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, MMA's local MPA Arshad Mehmood Baggu advocate and city secretary-general Hafiz Zafar Iqbal said the entire district was in the grip of heinous crimes.

They said that Sialkot city, Cantonment, Daska, Bhopalwala, Bambanwala, Begowala, Sambrial, Motra, Uggoki, Satrah, Daska, Pasrur, Badiana, Chawinda, Qila Kalarwala and their surrounding areas were the worst-hit.

They said the crime graph was going up day by day while the police had miserably failed in controlling the crime. They said the sense of insecurity prevailed among the people. They alleged that the incidents of murder, dacoity, robbery, rape and theft had become the order of the day due to the poor performance of the district police.
