MARDAN, Dec 13: A watchman of the Kashmir Manzil on the Toru Road in Hoti (Mardan) has lodged a first information report (FIR) against four taxation officials of Belgium with the District Safety Commission (DSC).

It is reported that the officials, accompanied by local police personnel, came to Kashmir Manzil where they wanted to gather information about a Belgium-based Pakistani businessman. It is learnt that they did not find any incriminating material against the businessman.

The watchman, identified as Hukam Khan, lodged the FIR against the officials under sections 447/ 448/ 504/ 500, relating to trespass and defamation. He said that the officials had come on Nov 22 and asked him to let them enter the building. He (Hukam Khan) told them that the owner of the building was not present and, therefore, he could not allow them entry.

He alleged that the officials forced open the gate, entered the building and made video films of various things. They stayed there for about four hours. In his complaint, the watchman said that he had repeatedly asked the foreigners not to film anything.

He said that a large number of local people who had gathered at the place, were witness to the entry of the foreigners into the building and they asked questions about their visit and the filming.
