KARACHI, Dec 13: An unidentified young man was shot dead by unknown persons in F B Area on Monday evening. Police said the man was on his motorcycle when he was attacked by three men on a motorcycle who opened fire on him and fled.

The incident occurred close to Shahrah-i-Pakistan on main Ancholi Road. Police said the victim suffered three bullet wounds and died on the spot. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for postmortem. Police said a phone index and several visiting cards of policemen were recovered from his possession.

DIES: A bystander died in a cross-fire between police and suspects in Korangi on Monday. Police said that they received information that two suspects are engaged in a robbery at a shop near Nasir Jump. As a police party reached the spot, the suspects fled.

Police chased the suspects, and an encounter ensued. Ghulam Qadir, 60, who was sitting at the doorstep of his house suffered a bullet wound during the crossfire between police and bandits.

However, police finally arrested the two suspects who were later identified as Nadeem and Zafar. Two TT pistols were recovered from their possession. The victim was taken to JPMC where he was pronounced dead.

ACCIDENT: A man died in a hit and run accident on Sharea Faisal early Monday morning. Police said that the Faisal was coming on his motorcycle when an unknown vehicle knocked him down near Star Gate. He was taken to the JPMC where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
