KARACHI, Dec 8: The Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Rahila Tiwana, on Wednesday said the provincial government would not allow any injustice to private educational institutions , and urged the City Nazim, Niamatullah Khan, and the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) to reconsider the regularization issue of private schools.

Talking to a delegation of the Private Schools Management Association, which called on her under the leadership of the association's vice-chairman, Sharf-uz-Zaman, she assured that she would discuss the issue and announce incentives for private schools.

"President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz want the elimination of illiteracy and promotion of education for the economic progress of the county especially in Sindh," she said, adding it was why the provincial Sindh government was taking steps for promoting education on priority basis.

Ms Tiwana said that she had written letters to the Sindh governor, chief minister, Sindh education minister, chief secretary and the city nazim to resolve the issue facing private schools in order to protect the future of three million children studying therein.
