HYDERABAD: HSC-I results announced

HYDERABAD, Nov 25: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, on Thursday announced results of Higher Secondary Certificate-I examinations of the humanities group.

Out of 14,690 candidates, who appeared in the examinations, 8,404 were declared succesful. Results of 402 candidates were withheld by the board's conduct branch and 73 candidates' results were withheld on charge of adopting unfair means.

LAST DATE: The director, admissions, University of Sindh, on Thursday announced that candidates for admission to bachelor's degree programme selected on the first merit list could submit fees till Nov 29.He said names of candidates who did not pay fees by the date would be deleted from the merit list.

Meanwhile, the University of Sindh has extended the last date for submitting forms for B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BSW, B.Sc (home economics) and M.A examinations up to Nov 30 with a late fee of Rs1,000.

RESULT CANCELLED: The Sindh University has cancelled the result of LLB-I examinations of 2003 of Raina Saghir Barakzai, for producing forged marks certificate of B.A-II.

On verification of the marks certificate from the University of Balochistan it was found that she had passed B.A in third division. Under rules, a candidate who did graduation in third division from a university other than the University of Sindh is not eligible to seek admission to any law college affiliated with it.
